Advertising Claim Verification

In some of our current television advertising, we make the following claims:

"You could save £181 when U switch to a new broadband service."

Switching to a new broadband deal after your initial contract has ended could save you £181 (£180.83) a year. This calculation is based on the average 12-month out of contract cost calculated in January 2025 between Sky Superfast Broadband, Sky Full Fibre, Virgin Media M125 Ultrafast Broadband, Vodafone Fibre 2 and Vodafone Full Fibre 500 , (£546.96), compared to the average yearly cost of the most popular five new deals (Sky Superfast at £357.00 per year, Sky Ultrafast Plus Broadband at £429.00, Virgin Media Ultrafast at £324.00, Vodafone Full Fibre 500 at £393.00 and Vodafone Fibre 2 at £333.00). Calculations include mid-contract price rises. Correct as of 1st January 2025.

In some of our current television advertising, we make the following claims:

"You could save £352 when U switch to a SIM only mobile deal."

The substantiation for these claims is as follows:

Switching from an ending 24 month handset contract to a SIM only contract (and keeping your existing handset) could save you £352 (£352.90) per year, or £29 per month. This calculation is based on the price of the top selling 24 month handset package in July 2022 (Apple iPhone 13 with 50GB data) against the cheapest equivalent SIM only deal on the Uswitch site as of July 2024 (TalkMobile 50GB data £8 per month). Correct as of 1st August 2024.

In some of our current television advertising, we make the following claim:

‘More people come to us to find their energy, broadband and mobile deal than any other site’.

The substantiation for this claim can be found below.

Traffic trend of organic and paid web traffic for Uswitch.com (sourced from SimilarWeb)

From 2023 to 2024, Uswitch has consistently taken the highest proportion of paid online and organic traffic for people looking to compare and switch their energy, broadband and mobile deals.

The same evidence substantiates the individual claims:

‘More people come to us to find their broadband deal than any other site’

‘More people come to us to find their mobile deal than any other price comparison website'
